Whereas the Internet has developed into one of the greatest accomplishments of innovation in recent decades; whereas this accomplishment was achieved by the private sector; whereas this accomplishment has become one of the greatest vehicles of free speech and expression in the history of the world; and whereas all of the above has occurred in an environment wherein federal regulation has been absent, let it be known that the signers of this petition hereby petition the White House and the FCC to end the attempt to greatly expand government involvement in and regulation of the internet.
