The internet is far too important to democracy to be controlled by the hands of the government and corporations, whose only goal is to profit from it.
The internet all together is at risk of becoming censored, broken, and limited, from its current form. What started as a tool to share educational documents from university to university, has become the primary way of communication in the Western world. Rather than destroy what the internet stands for, and the freedom of its users to create, manage, and decide for itself, we must take action to eliminate the attempts from people who do not understand the internet to destroy the internet and everything it has stood for over the last 25+ years.
