Keep the Internet open and innovative. Preserve Net Neutrality!

Created by D.B. on January 14, 2014

A federal court dealt a deadly blow to net neutrality on Tuesday, January 14th 2014 by striking down the FCC's open Internet rules and practically inviting broadband providers to offer preferential treatment to companies willing to pay for it.
This is something I don't think any consumer would want.
Maybe you sign up for basic internet service but then have to pay an extra fee to access your favorite sites. Internet start ups would no longer be able to tread water with out deep enough pockets to pay premium fees. This will stifle the innovation of any internet related services. Only companies large enough to pay to get around throttling and/or blocking would be able to survive. Those cost would ultimately get passed on to the consumer.
