Jack Lew's signature is a work of art and should appear as-is on all U.S. currency if the Senate confirms his appointment as Secretary of the Treasury.
Art, like politics, is subject to many interpretations. In Lew's loopful signature, we see a seismic wave, a roller-coaster, a slinky, a wormhole, a Spirogyra, the sound barrier, the double helix, the road-runner's dust, and the coil of nature.
Nothing could be more American. Yet the integrity of Lew's masterpiece is at risk. After his nomination, President Obama said: “Jack assures me that he will work to make at least one letter legible in order not to debase our currency...."
Sir, the "J" in "Jlo0o0o0o0o" is practically legible. And I doubt this'll be the thing to debase our currency. With Lew's art, its value can only skyrocket.
