Keep the justice system fair and American privacy intact, don't let HR 2471 become reality!

Created by T.T. on November 24, 2012

A proposed bill to update the Electronic Communications Privacy Act started out as a necessary and just amendment to an outdated law.
Now that law enforcement has had their say, the bill has been altered to instead take away Americans' online privacy by allowing 22 law enforcement agencies, including the FBI access to citizens' e-mail, social network posts, and the ability to log in and access their online accounts WITHOUT a warrant.
Here in America our laws are enforced fairly. Without just cause, why should these agencies be aloud to access our personal information?
We, the signed, oppose such an infringement and violation of our freedoms and privacy, and ask the Obama administration to take action.
