On January 8, 2002, a young man’s life was snuffed out. . .a young man who was full of life and the father of a precious little boy. This young man was Michael Almaguer. The person responsible for his death is Bryon Cecil Kelley, and Mr. Kelley was only given a 10-year sentence for taking Michael’s life. I beg you to deny Mr. Kelley’s parole, and please have him serve the full term. Justice demands that he serve his sentence, and I believe that society would be at great risk if he were to be released today. On the night of January 8, 2002, he had absolutely no regard or respect for human life. . .Michael’s life. And because of his inhumane actions on that night, Michael Almaguer, Jr. will never have the opportunity to know his father.
