This petition will provide young undocumented immigrants as myself who were brought here as children against their own will. Many of these children have been raised as Americans, but to discover that their future is limited due to their legal status that has been forced upon them, their dreams are being halted. With the MAVNI program, young undocumented Americans can redeem themselves and move up from being a DACA recipient to earning their citizenship in exchange for military service. Those who are patriotic yet undocumented should be given a chance to serve the country that we call home. It isn't our idea nor is it our fault that as children, we had no choice but to bear the burden of the sins of our mothers and fathers. Let us redeem ourselves and those sins through service.
