Raising the Federal Minimum wage to $10.10 an hour is ludicrous! With the way the economy is today, there will be more harm than good. Prices for everyday goods will skyrocket, more money circulating means higher prices on everything. Plus, smaller businesses and some bigger businesses will have to lay off workers, making the remaining ones, work longer shifts and get paid more while the stores are just barely making enough money to stay open. Also, with the amount of work initiative most people have today is horrible, lazy people will be paid even more to do their usual nothing. Sure the economics cycle says that when demand goes up so do prices and when demand goes down so do prices. So if you raise the minimum wage in this country, there's only one direction for them to go... UP.
