First, raising the minimum wage can cause a rise in consumer prices on goods, in order for employers to pay their workers. Secondly, it puts small businesses in dangerous financial situations. If employers cannot make enough to pay their workers this increased wage, they lose their employees. This can potentially cause them to lose their business as well. Lastly, raising the minimum wage raises taxes for employees by putting them in a higher tax bracket.
