Time and again during negotiations President Obama has capitulated to Republicans in the name of bipartisanship. A case in point is the Bush tax cuts. Obama needed zero Republican votes to keep his campaign promise to let them expire. After many rounds of much publicized negotiations he made the Bush tax cuts permanent. This is why he must never be allowed near a negotiation table again.
