This petition urges the President and the Senate not to negotiate away the current timeline for implementing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") as part of the ongoing budget negotiations with Rep. Boehner and the Tea Party-controlled House.
We do however acknowledge there are many adjustments to the Act and its implementing regulations that will become necessary over its early days, months and years. We therefore also urge the Administration and the Congress that these should be handled pragmatically as they become apparent ( by "fine-tuning", "tweaking" ) without any wholesale postponement or repeal of the entire law, and not in conjunction with budget impasses or as riders to other unrelated bills.
