It is time for American toy companies to stop having their toys made in China just to save a few bucks. It is costing thousands of Americans jobs, and putting our children in danger.
During the past 14 months, the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Comission) has overseen 31.7 million voluntary recalls, of which nearly 4 million were due to excessive lead in toys. The overwhelming majority of those toys were made in China, which manufactures 80% of the toys sold in this country
These toys have been causing Children to get sick each year. Lead poisoning is a hazard in 25% of U.S homes, where more than 30% are caused by Toys
The government should incorporate tax breaks to the manufacture of toys in America, so companies will have their toys made in America where its safe and will create jobs.
