We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Keep Petty Officer First Class Kristian Saucier out of jail for taking 6 pictures.

Created by S.P. on August 17, 2016

Petty Officer First Class Kristian Saucier should not go to jail for photographing a restricted area of a nuclear submarine he worked on. His service record is already being destroyed, but jail time for such a crime is without justification given the current policy in place. Saucier took 6 photographs in a restricted area. It would be unjust and unfair for Saucier, who has pleaded guilty and taken responsibility for his actions, to do prison time for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid. It is undeniably un-American for those to get only the justice they can afford. We as a country believe in Justice for All.
Surely there are sentences that better fit a man who served his country and who’s simply took pictures to one day show his family and his future children.
