Keep The Post Office Viable

Created by J.N. on February 08, 2013

I have an idea to help generate revenue for the PO as its failing is not in the country’s best interest, imo. Why not charge one rate for local or in-state mail and packages, (my emphasis being on letters, notices, cards, etc.) and another for out of state. You could have a stamp that costs 40 some cents for local deliveries and one that costs $1 or more for interstate deliveries. Everyone still sends Birthday, Mother’s and Father’s Day cards, Valentines, etc. and Fed Ex, UPS and such aren’t a viable option for such things. That way the people and businesses that are out of state will pay their fair share for delivery.
