In honor of the late Carrie Fischer, and on behalf of all Star Wars fans, the government must ensure Disney keeps the vibrant character of Princess Leia alive in Star Wars Episode 9, despite Fischer's untimely death. If the writers were planning to keep her alive through CGI or other means, that is amazing. But it must be kept that way. They cannot end such a major character in one of the most popular franchises ever because the actor has passed away; Fischer's legacy lives on, and princess Leia's survival must represent this legacy.
Leia is a strong female hero who has, and must continue to, inspire generations of strong-willed girls and women.
