keep the promises made that the ACA would not cause NH citizens to lose access to their doctors and medical facilities

Created by M.J. on June 02, 2014

When the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was implemented in New Hampshire, WellPoint's subsidiary, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, was granted total control over access to healthcare for those with no other health insurance option. WellPoint-Anthem eliminated coverage for 12 of our state's 26 hospitals and for the health care providers associated with them.

We were repeatedly assured that we could keep our doctors and our hospitals. Many now pay insurance premiums without access to healthcare, whether to new providers or to our own doctors -- who delivered the continuity of care widely applauded for effectiveness and efficiency.

Now is the time for Presidential leadership to craft and to deliver the solution to this injustice being imposed on New Hampshire -- and to honor promises made.
