On November 14, The New Yorker reported that Steve Bannon would be Pesident-Elect Trump's Chief Stategist and Policy Advisor. The article included the following quote:
“I’m a Leninist,” Steve Bannon told a writer for The Daily Beast, in early 2014. “Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal, too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.”
Our check-and-balances system protect our citizens from this rhetoric but now President Elect Trump has set Steve Bannon up as one of the most powerful men in the Executive Branch.
Stopping progress on racial and social issues will be detrimental to our nation. The signers of this petition demand that President Elect Trump reconsider this decision and keep Steve Bannon out of our White House.
