Texas was not allowed to refuse funding to Planned Parenthood (PP) from federally funded women's health programs. In retaliation the state has declined federal funding for women's health programs in order to remove funding from PP.
This politically motivated stunt is in direct contrast with our President's view of equal health care for men and women.
It is an egregious mistake to forsake easy access to family planning and wellness programs based on perception of abortion issues, age and gender. This bold move is discriminatory and the youth of Texas will bear the burden of the consequences. Women should have easy and instant access to PP.
I would like this petition to circulate to show women in Texas that Americans around the country care about your reproductive rights.
