Removing deductions and credits would allow for a more fair system. Once the budget is balanced, and our debt is at a more reasonable level, taxes could be lowered for everyone. Right now, our tax system is so convoluted that many people do not take advantage of deductions. No loopholes, no deductions, and in time, everyone could pay a lower rate.
