Keep 'Under God' in the Pledge of Allegiance

Created by J.S. on October 29, 2016

The Pledge of Allegiance is a vow to the United States of America that shows the heart of the typical American culture. Regardless of one's religious preference, the Pledge is a promise - an oath - which delineates our devotion, faithfulness, and fealty to our country. In schools across America, that solemn asseveration is being trampled and counted as worthless. The phrase 'Under God' was instituted by the Eisenhower administration, but has since been a mainstay of our pledge. To deny our country's reliability on something other than ourselves is simply not something that has historically been true of our country. The phrase 'Under God' reminds us that we must have reverence to our Creator and pledge our allegiance to Him and our country. It is, after all, on our currency.
