Regardless of the signatures of the citizens who petition for their states (and others) the secede from the union with explanations such as the poor economy, education, and control, the UNITED States should stay as a single nation in this time of threat in the Middle East. With one head NATIONAL security leader we are far more protected from any threat (opposed to a panel of leaders in an alliance).
