Keep the U.S. on Daylight Savings Time all the time

Created by K.F. on November 03, 2013

1. It is depressing to be bathed in darkness by 5:00pm. Children are cooped up indoors, workers are less safe.
2. We could save energy if we all used one hour less to light our houses. In response to the OPEC embargo, Nixon declared year-round DST to help our country save fuel.
3. Other than clock instruction writers, no one benefits from switching between times. Some industries, such as airlines, suffer economic disruption and loss.
4. Unite our United States! Some states change their clocks and some do not. Consider the confusion, missed conference calls, and frustrated interstate friendships.
5. If we were all getting more exercise, feeling less depressed, saving energy, and making it to our appointments on time, maybe Congress would be a less angry place. Peace on Earth!
