"We the People" (petitions.whitehouse.gov) has proven to be a successful way for ordinary citizens to express free speech about issues of concern to them. Under President Obama's administration, this web site has been supported. Under the incoming Donald J. Trump administration, this web site may be abolished. It doesn't matter what you believe, We the People must defend our first amendment right to be heard. This forum is appropriate for a democratic republic. Make it so. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to put a search feature on the web site and allow us to sign up for email updates.
