Keep the words “In God We Trust” on U. S. currency and the words “under God” in our pledge of allegiance. The Establishment Clause of the first amendment of the United States in this case has nothing to do whether or not these words are used. The word “God” on our currency and in our pledge of allegiance does not refer to any particular religion and in fact is a word that has been used to refer to a higher being in many different religions throughout generations in America and even other parts of the world.
