That the Keystone XL pipeline be allowed through the United States, providing a secure source of North American energy

As a concerned American with the rising price of gas throughout the United States, I believe that allowing the Keystone XL pipeline will allow a secure source if North American energy from Canada. With a larger supply that would travel half the distance, and create a number of American jobs, I believe that it will help America overall with the current energy crisis we are experiencing and most importantly, the economy. I also believe that receiving oil from a trusted ally (Canada) rather than an Arab dictator (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, etc) would be better for US foreign relations.
