We need to urge congress to kill the 2012 Farm Bill. All this bill does is renew the benefits to big corporations through subsidies for things like corn, soy and wheat. We need to end these subsidies and begin to invest in small family farms that use sustainable practices. Large corporations that pollute the water air and land with their faulty agrofarming practices don't need our tax dollars or help. In the past, when cuts need to be made it's not the subsidies to these large companies that gets cut, it's the conservation dollars to make sure that these lands will be arable and usable for future generations.
Lets stop the subsidy madness. Please urge congress to, for the first time since it was inacted, kill this farm bill. We need to stand for something!
