how does it make sense for any institution to make an item that cost more to make than it's worth. we are beating a dead horse, dragging a wheel less car, its time to put the penny to rest, Denmark went through the same thing 15 years ago, and finally got rid of their penny and instead introduced the nickel (which we already have). the penny makes no sense and it is more trouble to carry, use and maintain than worth, let it go..
