There is an increasing concern amongst the international students regarding the change in foreign policies for the OPT. There is a rumor about the reduction of OPT in the coming 2016 elections from 2-2.5 to only 1 year. People like the international students pay heavy tution fee charges for colleges in order to get a good exposure. Being an international student myself I believe reducing the the OPT time upto 1 year will leave us with mere time to get a good exposure of the corporate world and will create an unnecessary urge to flee the country as soon as possible. Also I believe that 1 year is a very meager time to apply all the knowledge we have accumulated in our tenure of undergrad or post grad studies and the value of money invested for the same may not be reaped completely.
