We are proud Texans. We are also proud Americans. We recognize that though things may not be perfect, life isn't so bad. For some reason, some of our fellow Texans have asked for permission for our state to be allowed to withdraw from the rest of the Union. With all due respect, we think that's insane. Therefore we ask that such requests be utterly, completely and irrevocably ignored. We're adults. We think that, in a nation of nearly four million square miles, it's possible to coexist with people who don't necessarily think EXACTLY the same way we do. We also think it's important to keep the rivalries between Texas and Oklahoma, the Cowboys and the NFC East, the Rangers and the Angels, and the Mavericks, Spurs and Rockets with the rest of the Western Conference alive and kicking.
