We are Americans. We like having the rights granted to us by a Federal Constitution. And we have faith that there are many good things we can do for our communities, states, and country regardless of Presidential choice.
Imagine how many lives would be affected by a foolish decision to secede from the Union. Would we make families require passports just to see loved ones in another "former" state? Would we really want to affect the lives of college students who may not even be studying in their home states, but rely on federal grants to continue their education? Finally, do these people seceding even realize that, if a "friendly" connection were to be maintained among states, we would be the EU?
So instead of throwing temper tantrums, let's be real. Let's be Americans and remain United.
