Claims that due to the Two-nation theory which lead to the formation of Pakistan means that Kashmir (except Aksai Chin), as a Muslim-majority state should be controlled by Pakistan.
They believe that the Maharaja of Kashmir had no right to call in the Indian Army, because it held that the Maharaja of Kashmir was not a hereditary ruler and was merely a British appointee, after the British defeated Ranjit Singh who ruled the area before the British conquest. Hence they claim that the accession to India is illegal, although it is important to note that even if he was an appointee, he would still have the power to make such an accession, as he was the leader of the Princely state of Kashmir, and so had the right to do so under the Partition Act, 1947, but in reality the Maharaja was a decenda
