Being a victim of identity theft is no fun. Having my name, address, and checking information stolen...and the kicker...my checks were still in my possession. So, from this alone it is already easy to commit fraud. What will making public your bankruptcy and/or judgement court records lead to. It contains your name and address maybe DOB, and probably SSN. It also allows people to be easily be found, such as in Domestic Abuse cases. The only court records that should be publicized are the ones that impact others, such as violent offenders. All others should only be released via special request made by a state licensed attorney with a legitimate purpose. This would remove the excuse of prosecutors who can't properly verify people related to a case.
