A la carte cable and satellite charges so a consumer can choose to what channels to subscribe to with no forced channels

Created by R.I. on April 15, 2016

A consumer should not be forced to pay for channels that are not of the consumers taste; therefore, a la carte subscription would lower the cost of cable and satellite charges. The US was built on freedom of choice, but are given none by the cable and satellite operators. The charges are increased for channels that consumers don't care to watch. Additionally, mandatory modems and gateways are imposed on consumers via lease agreements. Its cheaper to buy the modem or gateway and consumers should be allowed to do so. The average bill has increased and the fees are the driving force. I asked that you mandate the FCC to eliminate all leasing equipment and allow consumers to be able to purchase the channels of their choosing and not be forced to buy 100 channels where they only watch 25.
