With the growing number of gang related crimes being committed against citizens, I, as a citizen, request that any so called gang and its members be labeled as a domestic terrorist group and its members as threats to; public safety, and the security of this union. With this label should come the full spectrum of US law enforcement with help from the DHS to help pursue and should be applied in the same manner as foreign enemies of the state. My example and cause for this petition is the city of Chicago, Illinois. A city with, by far, some of the strictest gun regulation in the country and yet one of the worst gang problems in the United States with over 500 gang related shootings in 2012.
