We, the American people, petition the President to take direct action in response to Chinese currency manipulation. This glaring violation of international trade law proves that China has lost its comparative advantage and can only compete with U.S. products by cheating.
We have had enough. We will not allow our hard fought economic recovery to be sabotaged by this aggression. We will not lose any more jobs to China. We will not see our trade deficit increase again. We will not extinguish the American Dream.
The President must: Label China a currency manipulator. Deem that policy to be a system of illegal subsidies. Enact countervailing duties and trade remedies which will curb the onslaught of illicit imports.
We ask that the President uphold his duty to defend the American people.
