Whomever signs a statement declaring their intent to seek seperation from our nation should be labled as a traitor. Now by definition those seeking seperation are not in fact committing treason; however if looking at history those who in similar situations throughout United States history have caused debate or resistance towards the country have been labled "traitors". I believe in this instance the same label applies. If this petition can gain enough support it should make the adminstration acknowledge the growing discontent with the current adminstration; as well as give an answer to those seeking secession.
