Linked above is a story involving PETA trespassing on private property to steal and murder a family's dog.
This is done in the belief that the animal is "too old to be outside", "stray" (PETA is known for luring animals away from private property to claim them as strays, allowing them to legally kidnap and murder them), or any number of pointless justifications for their actions.
PETA has gone unchecked for far too long and clearly has malicious intent behind their actions. This has to stop.
