Lagging Internet Infrastructure Can Hinder our Economic Development. Revamping our internet to fit the 21st Century

A troubling Article brought to my attention the lagging internet infrastructure of this country. Experts affirm that the US ranks 29th in the world in internet speed, and pays much more than any other country when we are the ones who invented it. They point to tv and internet companies running like cartels, being assigned certain areas where they exclusively market to. This effectively reduces competition and innovation, and increases price at the expense of consumers. Other countries like Bulgaria say experts, treat internet as major infrastructure and get some of the fastest internet for the lowest price. If our internet infrastructure isn't being open to competition and innovation, our internet infrastructure will continue to lag behind the world and hinder our economic development
