Late Lt. Col. David Hackworh has been denied the Medal of Honor for too long. He was the most decorated soldier ever.

David Hackworth was underage when he managed to enlist in the U.S. Army. He was on what is called the "Pentagon" track in his career as an officer. He made a very courageous decision when he was in Viet Nam. He chose to speak out against the war, defending the lives of his men by saying that he felt they were good Americans by serving and that their lives were being wasted in the Viet Nam effort. He as under consideration for the Congressional Medal of Honor when he did this. The recognition of his gallantry was never granted. At the time he left the service, he was and may still be the most decorated soldier ever to serve the United States. He died in 2005, but this petition asks that he be considered posthumously.
