Barack Obama has demonstrated a clear penchant for making people laugh in both his correspondence dinner speeches and off the cuff remarks in his speeches. Previous presidents have had careers in various art forms both before and after their presidencies (Bill Clinton was a musician, Reagan was an actor, and George W Bush took up painting). A stand up career would fit President Obama and his talents perfectly. As a man in his mid 50's, Obama will likely not retire from public life right away. A standup career will likely give him an opportunity to connect with people (while possibly continuing his political activism) while bringing joy to America and the world.
