We should launch Congress into space. Key people in the Executive and Judicial branch as well. Basically, anyone who gets invited to the State of the Union address ought to be launched into Space.
.... you know, so they can maybe get that whole world-view expanding experience that a lot of astronauts talk about, and then when they return they will hopefully build on that experience to make better decisions, both for America and the world as a whole.
