The media needs to be regulated in terms of how coverage of mass shootings happens. Too much of the focus is on the perpetrator and too little is on the victims. The idea that possible future attackers can be spurred by the idea of fame and recognition over any alternative is too prevalent to ignore. Censorship is of course a big issue, and this petition is not looking for that, but rather ways to encourage responsible media coverage that won't lead to future attacks on our children and citizens.
