Many party attendees took pictures and videos, proudly announcing their actions on social networking sites like Twitter. Only two students have been charged, and the school itself has gone to bat against the prosecution, protecting the rapists. The Sheriff of Steubenville has announced that no further suspects will be charged. Even the prosecution is lax, as the prosecutor is a parent of one of the members of the football team. No announcements were made on this case until internet group Anonymous exposed the story. This tragedy needs a federal investigation.
