On March 26th Governor Mike Pence signed Senate Bill 101 into law in Indiana.
This legislation includes: “governmental entity may not substantially burden a person’s exercise of religion,” and also includes “...regardless of whether the state or any other government entity is party to the proceeding.”
The 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution states that "no state shall make or enforce any law which shall... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
The Religious Freedom Restoration Act of Indiana both empowers and encourages businesses and private parties to discriminate against individuals in the state.
We the people hereby request a formal review be launched by the United States Justice Department.
