UNRWA admitted that it found rockets belonging to HAMAS on its property at three separate schools in Gaza on July 17, July 22, and July 30, 2014, which UNRWA claimed to have turned over to the “local authorities” or have gone missing. HAMAS is a Designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions from UN Member States. The United States is the largest donor to UNRWA contributing almost 5 billion dollars since 1950.
U.S. taxpayers demand an independent assessment of UNRWA’s actions to examine the fate of the rockets, as well as measures to hold UNRWA staff responsible for allowing the rockets to be stored on its property, and verifiable measures taken to reform the UNRWA before any future U.S. contributions are made to UNRWA.
