On July 19, 2005 was the death of PFC. LaVena Johnson. She was found with a broken nose , a black eye , loose teeth , and burns from a corrosive chemical on her genitals with a trail of blood leaving out from her tent. Also a gunshot wound to the head. What bothers me was that the Department of Defense ruled this as a "suicide". The Department of Defense statistics are alarming -- one in three women who join the US military will be sexually assaulted or raped by men in the military.
It's sad to say that the military has a rape problem and every case needs to be taken serious and brought to justice.
