President Obama I am creating this petition in hopes that you will launch an investigation into the dangerous practices used by private prison corporations like Corrections Corporations of America in Mississippi where profits are placed before the rights of people (employees and prisoners). Despite experiencing record profits in recent years, the private prisons here have been dangerously understaffed for years (to save money). I do NOT want a repeat of the Adams County riot in May 2012 that resulted in an officer dying and 16 injured
I am asking you to open an investigation as to why not has been done despite years of complaints to officials at the local, state and Federal level (Bennie Thompson, Christopher Epps, Phil Bryant, David Jordan to name a few)
