Putin is about to invade and conquer eastern Ukraine. Pro-Russian demonstrators (who are being paid by the Kremlin) have seized government buildings in three eastern cities and are calling for Russia to send troops. The Ukrainian government in Kyiv says the Kremlin orchestrated these demonstrations, just as it did in Crimea. Putin has thousands of troops on the Ukrainian border ready to strike.
But the West is conducting a policy of appeasement as it did with Hitler before WWII. Appeasement will not work! Nor will sanctions, as the events in Crimea have proven. But NATO-led military intervention could.
President Obama, please do something now! Ukraine deserves its independence from Russia and its territorial integrity must be preserved. Let NATO protect Ukraine!
