Launch a new investigation into the death of Army Private LaVena Lynn Johnson

In 2005, LaVena Johnson was stationed in Iraq when she was found dead in her tent just nine days before her 20th birthday. The autopsy report and photographs revealed a broken nose, black eye, loose teeth, burns from a corrosive chemical on her genitals, and a gunshot wound to the head. Her death was ruled a suicide by the Department of Defense.
