Launch a Program to Explain How the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) Will Affect Everyday Americans

Created by M.D. on May 03, 2013

Most Americans still don't understand how President Obama's health care reform will affect them, personally. Before the law's provisions come into affect more fully in 2014, we need to know what the law actually is.

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is an extremely complex law. Although the administration has made some effort to improve public understanding of it (for example, see http://www.whitehouse.gov/healthreform), the Kaiser Family Foundation has found that over half of all Americans don't understand how the new law will affect them. 41% don't even realize that it's the law of the land!

As heated election-season rhetoric has subsided, more people may be open to learning what Obamacare really means. Please, launch an unbiased program to educate the public on this critical issue.
